OUR TOMMORROW HABITATION
Adaptive Domestic Architecture Admist Environmental Crisis
Have you ever wondered if our world in the future becomes unhabitable?
The air pollution is worsened, pure water is unreachable, and the distance between humans and the environment is getting far...

When we experience those circumstances, do we want to live in it? ‘
Or find a way to restore it?

Hey, everyone!  I want to share my undergraduate final project called Our Tomorrow Habitation: Adaptive Domestic Architecture Toward Environmental Crisis, which was created in February - July 2023.

Our Tomorrow Habitation proposes a new understanding of architecture which then will not take distance with nature and only to serve human beings, but having a balanced relation between our society and environment around us to hand in hand taking care of our mother nature. Here, post-humanism becomes the main concept that is applied to maintain the link between all creatures in their way to restoring the earth.

In the dystopian world, which is dangerous for humans to live in, This design then presents a concept of a new living space for humans to maintain, repair, and preserve the earth. It encourages us to leave the cities and have a new lifestyle, to give space for wildlife to recover on their own and make the restoration process faster.  With the incorporation of machines inside each space, from the spreading of seeds and water, waste destruction, and conversion to fresh air, the human being could help our ecosystem with using their own architecture. Besides that, Through adaptive and movable systems, it can repair the surroundings from the water to the sky while at the same time still providing human essential needs. Humans could still have the same usual daily life as before, in a more futuristic and easier way to adapt with new living space.
At last, Within this idea, I wish there will be a new hope for our earth to have deeper connection with communities in the way to be liveable again, not only for human beings but for all living souls that exist in this world.

Even though it has been finished, I know that there is still much room for improvement and here I am open for opinions and discussions regarding this topic.

Thank you.
